Clogged Drain – What To Do?
Every so often, your sink or tub drain will clog or your dishwasher will overflow. A clogged drain can be a difficult job, but straightforward “hair down the sink” clogs are less trouble and you can try home remedies most of the time.
How To Clear A Clogged Drain Naturally
Believe it or not, old fashion vinegar and hydrogen peroxide will usually work for something like hair caught in the sink. So will vinegar and baking soda.
If your drain is clogged by grease, add a combination of salt and boiling water to the mixture. Keep your drain clear by mixing baking soda, salt, and cream of tartar together. Add a small amount to the drain, and then pour in a cup or two of boiling water. The best part of this home remedy is that there is no odor. It is also not poisonous and corrosive like commercially available drain cleaners.
